First Draft is the new politics website and daily newsletter just launched by The New York Times.
Talking New Media reports on the launch. “First Draft is a lively news feed of political and policy developments that is conversational in tone and highly visual. With original reporting, breaking news and highlights from Times coverage, it provides expert analysis of key issues and surfaces the best content from other sources and social media.”
The website was launched to track U.S. politics and elections, and it comes at a time when the political season will soon start to heat up.
In true digital publishing fashion, First Draft can be followed through social media, via the blog or through newsletter. It is free to New York Times subscribers, and non-subscribers can view up to 10 articles for free.
